Hextall is the most entertaining goalie ever.

I could be wrong. But I remember that game like it was last night. Hextall let 2 goals in the net within 2 minutes of each other. That was why he was whacking the net, and broke his stick. The Flyers at that time were playing real flat, and like Hextall, he was trying to fire up the team. Yes, they did come back and win.

I agree that Ron Hextall was the most complete goaltender and a legend. He was my all time favorite hockey player, and arguably the most entertaining. I have been a Flyer fan since '82,live in Edmonton and never thought about becoming an Oiler fan (even during the dynasty)LOL. Hockey wouldn't come close to being as entertaining without the Flyers, they make the game exciting and emotions flair! Great tribute to Rock'n Ronnie the most electrifying athlete in NHL history. Long Live the FLYERS!! :D

I am not disagreeing with your or justifying it I am just saying that it happens all the time in sports. No team can maintain 100% high level of play all the time. So it is certainly natural to be more ready for the better teams and maybe less prepared mentally for the worse teams. For example, The NE Patriots were arguably one of the best teams in NFL history last year. Did not lose a game in the Reg season but damn near lost to the Dolphins who were the worst team in the NFL. It happens!
